Global Sailing is owned and operated by Wytse, a yacht expert and highly experienced skipper. Growing up, Wytse was exposed to boating by his parents and grandparents, and he quickly developed a lifelong passion for sailing. Since 2007, he has worked as a part-time skipper and flotilla leader for various travel organizations, in addition to sailing extensively on his own.

In August 2018, Wytse set out on a two-year journey to sail the world's most incredible places on his 50 ft. Sailing Yacht 'Djito'. His many guests had the trip of their lifetimes, exploring destinations such as the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the San Blas, the Galapagos, and the Hawaiian Islands.

After two years of full-time sailing and chartering, Wytse moved back to the Netherlands. He bought a 1948 Amels build fishing cutter 'Lauwers', which he renovated and rebuilt completely as a permanent live-aboard vessel. 

With over a decade of experience as a professional skipper and flotilla leader, as well as his recent world sailing adventure, Wytse has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in the sailing industry. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping fellow sailors achieve their dreams.
